The fence is nearly complete, with the gates installed this week. And rodent control work is also going well. Numbers continue to decline- we believe that rats are virtually gone and that we are down to the last 1% of the mice. This morning, what we believe is the final cat was caught.
We're on the road to recovery!

Ka'ena Point Natural Area Reserve, located on the northwestern tip of O`ahu, is being restored through the efforts of many helping hands of scientists, resource managers, students, teachers and community members. This sanctuary is a precious resource for all.

Education Program Ho`ike
On March 1, students from Nanakuli High & Intermediate, Kamaile Academy, and Wai`anae High School gathered at Camp Erdman in Mokule`ia to share what they learned about Ka`ena Point over the past months. They all made presentations from their group projects, which included games to be played with elementary school students, Power Point presentations, and videos. They were all awesome!
